Every two years, all motor carriers are required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to update their data. You must make sure that your firm stays operational if you are a motor carrier operating under its authority, and to do so, you must submit an update every two years. You must submit this update even if your company hasn’t undergone any significant changes recently in order to conduct carrier operations without any hitches.
FMCSA has the right to deactivate your U.S. DOT Number if you don’t finish your biennial update in a timely manner.
Additionally, you could be subject to a fine of $1,000 each day with a $10,000 maximum fine, which could seriously harm your finances.
