Once your MC or FF number turns active for the first time on FMCSA website, you will automatically be mailed a copy of your MC Authority Certificate. It usually comes within 7 days by mail provided your mailing address is not marked undeliverable in DOT records. If you order the Expedited Authority Certificate we will email an official copy of your FMCSA License by email the same day your MC or FF number is granted. You must have the certificate before you begin operations. It is required to get set up with brokers, load boards, and factoring. So if you need to get started right away, the expedite authority is a great option.
